Here it is. Row 5 with a slip on vinyl cover so my greasy hair will not stick to the headrest. The flight was rather uneventful until we reached some where over Hudson's Bay. Gary woke me up with a blanket over his head and said hey check this out. With our faces pressed against the small window look out the plane at 38000 FT right before our eyes was the northern lights dancing in a circle. How lucky is that?
We arrived on the door step or I should say the secret garden of our B & B around noon on Sunday. Our host Harley introduced himself then lead us through the gate to the courtyard where the Coach house was located. Once inside we were treated to the sound of a running water fountain after 9 hour plane ride - how delightful! A very traditional and tranquil English garden awaits with lots of mature perennials and Virginia creeper climbers. Harley apologized for the messy leaves and confests he had just raked before our arrival. ( sounds familiar Jen ?)
A few hours later, we toured the Balham neighbourhood were this B&B is located in south of London - Borough of Wandsworth. Aparantly Adele attended school in this area. The homes are mostly well maintained row houses with white arches marking the front entrance. (Amy you would love the stain and leaded glass door designs) Each have there own quantness.
Later that night we went out for dinner. Of course Gary's looking for his door to Fish & Chips but This one is a take away just like Churches chicken. How disappointing!
We settled on a neigboring Italian place Bucci for dinner as most of the pubs were too loud for a nice quiet Sunday night meal.
