Monday, Oct 24, Westminster Abbey

The following morning Gary was bright eyes and bushy tails as he slept through the night snoring like the sound of music. I of course was way too hungry to stay unconnected to the smell of a real English breakfast waiting for us in the morning. After all, we are staying at a bed AND breakfast.

True to every word I read about our Hostess Meela's cooking, we were treated to her specialty porridge yummy in my tummy. Breakfast was served every morning around half past 8 in the main house breakfast room. From every window and French doors there is a lovely view of the garden especially colourful now with autumn foliage. Meela tells us the kitchen was recently updated with fresh paint and flooring. She's a professional alright from our vantage point cultinary cuisine is serious business.

We make our way first time to the tube armed with a tourist Oyster card ready to concur London after breakfast. Being sleep deprived doesn't help so My hero bravely take charge of directions. We're off to the epic centre to see this Benny fellow, #10 Downing , River Thames, London eye etc.

Our selfies conveniently hides the mobs of people on the bridge with us all doing exactly the same thing. What can I say, when in London do as tourist do - take photo.

We paid £20 to get in to Westminster Abbey and no photos are allowed. So sorry no photo.

Nope this one is pirated so it's legal. The best part came at the end of the tour - the coronation chair behind glass and the gift shop.

Everyday my mission is to look for Fish and Chip stalls or at least the sign and take a photo with Gary in front of it. He'll always have loving memories of his childhood comfort food in a true British way.

Ah a pub at last! This one's called "The Shakespeare" he was once a very talented guy I hear. Nevermind that now, you know what's in front of Gary. Me - Lamb shank shepards pie.
